Guitar Bridge Pin Sizing Guide
Please use the sizing chart below for our Fossilized Walrus Ivory, Fossilized Walrus Jawbone, Mammoth Ivory, Buffalo Horn & Bone bridge pins.  If you don't see your guitar listed, we don't carry bridge pins to fit it and we recommend that you contact the guitar manufacturer for bridge pin advice and availability.

** Note: Turn a size 2A pin into a size 2C by very lightly sanding around the shaft of the pin with a very fine grit sandpaper (at least 320) until the pin sits as low as you want it to.  Be extremely careful when sanding around the shaft that you don't sand too much off, the difference in the 2 pin sizes is about the thickness of a piece of paper (0.005") so it only take a few passes around the shaft.
     Size 2B
    * The same as Size 2A except the string slot actually stops 1/16" below the bottom of the skirt.

Size 2B fit the following guitars:
  • Martin HD-28 guitars prior to 1994
  •  Size 2C
    * Same degree of taper as 2A but with a reduced shaft diameter (0.215 at the top of the shaft) so that they will sit farther down in the bridge.

Size 2C fit the following guitars:
  • Martin gutiars since 1994 (including the Martin HD-28)

  • ** Note: Turn a size 2A pin into a size 2C by very lightly sanding around the shaft of the pin with a very fine grit sandpaper (at least 320) until the pin sits as low as you want it to.  Be extremely careful when sanding around the shaft that you don't sand too much off, the difference in the 2 pin sizes is about the thickness of a piece of paper (0.005") so it only take a few passes around the shaft.
