Likes: Excellent playability and tone.
Dislikes: Fair on the highs.
Additional Comments: Super low-end and good mids. Also love the rustic appearance and sounds great with a Fishman Rare Earth soundhole pick-up. Great performing guitar.

Likes: I love the simplicity of appearance; the mahogany is just elegant. The tone is incredible; good in all ranges, with great sustain. You can bang it or caress it - it just gets better with age. Plays like a dream - comfortable and responsive.
Dislikes: Lately, a little buzz developing when capo'd up high, but I can probably adjust that.
Additional Comments: You can pay a lot more but not get much better tone.

Likes: the midrange & bottom-end sound, the lack of "jingly-jangly" highs, the satin mahogany finish, the conversation piece, the heirloom potential, and the smell!
Dislikes: high action
Additional Comments: I put a lot of hands-on time finding the right guitar for me. This one is it. I am proud to own a USA-made, solid wood, amazing-sounding guitar. And at this price, I feelt smurt :P

Like about the Martin D15: Simple, no frills elegant beauty. Solid Mahogany is beautiful to behold. Amazing sound and playability. The least expensive Martin one can purchase MADE IN NAZARETH PA.
Dislike about the Martin D-15: Would prefer gold tuners as opposed to chrome purely for the overall appearance, otherwise there are no dislikes.
Additional Comments: Add-ons: Plate-Mate and F.W.I. Bridge Pins, Martin SP 80/20 BRONZE lights. All of the above enhanced the off-the-rack powerful tones and sound considerably. My voice even makes the soundbox project vibrations clearly audible in a quiet setting. Now my other six imports are purely wall decor. Unplug and make sweet music!

Mellow but clear dreadnaught sound. Dislike about the Martin D-15: There's nothing to dislike about this guitar.
Additional Comments: I've had it for three years and it keeps getting better as the tone woods age.

Like about the Martin D-15: Great tone, incredible warmth!
Dislike about the Martin D15: There is a bump in the neck around the 8th fret that causes alot of buzzing when playing bar chords up there. This is a brand new guitar! I am surprised that this made it through quality assurance. The store I bought the instrument from is having problems with the set-up. If this was a D-35, would it have made the journey out the door? I know that this is an entry level Martin, but for the money, I don't feel particularily pleased with the purchase. I hope that there is an option to return this one and have it replaced with one that doesn't have these problems right out of the box.
Comment from Maury's Music - I would definitely contact the store you purchased it from, it sounds like there isn't enough relief in the neck and it should take a simple truss rod adjustment to fix your problem.

Like about the Martin D-15: Deep, Deep tones without going with larger body guitar. I play without a pick and I beat on the strings a little and it's no problem for this guitar. That's one thing I have to say sold me on this instrument. I have played many more expensive guitars and I kept coming back to this one in the store. I went out to buy a Taylor with a budget of $1,500 and I ended up buying a $700 Martin. I couldn't be happier. I know I will have other guitars. But, right now I am enjoying this guitar.
Dislike about the Martin D15: Absolutely no dislikes about the sound, playability, and affordability.

Like about the Martin D-15: A recent purchase and I'm very satisfied with it. The all mahogany construction gives this brand new guitar tone quality similar to a nicely aged spruce top. Nice deep bass and open mids and trebles. Also excellent playability with the mod low oval neck profile. Fits me like a glove.
Dislike about the Martin D15: A simple body binding would be a nice addition to protect the edges but otherwise no dislikes at all.
Additional Comments: I think this guitar will be with me for a long time.

Liked about the Martin D-15: The sound and price are an unbeatable combination. There is the typical Martin high end quality in this guitar.
Disliked about the Martin D-15: Nothing, I like everything about this guitar. The simplicity of the cosmetics may turn some folks away but I love the simplicity. We don't always need the fancy inlays or binding. Sometimes, a guitar is just that good when it's simple.
Additional Comments: This was the first Martin I bought. It was the first "good" guitar that I bought and it will always hold a place close to me. It's been with me for a few years and it's been with me when times were great and at the times when things weren't so great. I couldn't imagine selling it.
