Review:  Martin OMC28 Laurence Juber
Rating you give the Martin OMC-28 Juber:
  5 - Best thing I ever played

Like about the Martin OMC28 Juber:  This guitar makes playing fingerstyle guitar like putting butter on bread-so smooth!  The sound is fantastic!  All highs and lows up the neck uniform.  If you like a clean sound-This guitar is for you.  Plenty of volume.  I play for all kinds of gigs and this is my baby.

Dislikes:  Have had this for 3 years and still have found no dislikes.

Additional Comments:  Use true med or light med for this guitar to get the best sound.  Has wonderful sound through amp with LR baggs pick-up.

Review:  OMC-28M-Juber Single Cutaway
Rating you give the Martin OMC Juber:  4 - Highly recommend it

Like about the Martin OMC-28M Laurence Juber:  Ease of play, accessability to higher notes, balanced tone, overal depth and richness.

Dislike about the Martin OMC Laurence Juber:  The strings that came stock on this guitar didn't quite do it justice.  Perhaps they were old or shopworn though they didn't look oxidized or sound all that faded.  Simple solution was to replace the strings (see below).

Additional Comments:  Since LJ uses GHS-True Medium Phosphor Bronze on his custom-made Martins, I decided to follow suit.  Wow.  What a difference compared to the south-of-the-border phosphor bronze strings that originally came on this guitar.  The instrument brightened-up considerably, maintained good bass definition & had added playbility with the M-L-L-L-M-M string configuration.  Though it is highly unlikely that Martin will offer these guitars 'factory strung' with the GHS-PB/TM Jubers, perhaps the dealer can change the strings once the instrument is received.  BTW, the Newtone Masterclass Custom PB sets sound pretty good too on this guitar(except a little warmer tonally).

Review:  Martin OMC-28MLJ
Rating you give the Martin OMC-28M Laurence Juber:  5 - Best thing I ever played

Like about the Martin OMC28M Juber:  The OMC-28M LJ is absolutely perfect. The sustain goes on for days, almost like a church bell.  It is very "chimey" and bright. This is the first guitar I've played where the bass and trebles are equal in sustain and presence.  The volume is pretty loud, but not too boisterous.  Every single note up and down the neck is direct, and to the point.  Even notes played quietly or timidly are heard without a problem, which seems to be either a great thing, or a not so great thing depending on how good you are playing.  The notes cascade down in a waterfall like fashion, and the harmonics are the best of any guitar I've ever played.  Chords are extremely powerful, and fingerboard "slaps" produces beautiful harmonics as well, and is the most responsive of any guitar I've played.  The trebles are extremely crisp, which reminds me of mahogany, and the overtones are QUITE a bit more complex than EIR.  Everything is just perfect on this guitar.  This is a whole different monster when compared to my Marquis.  The Madagascar RW is very subtle, and looks very Brazillian.  The gloss finish is impeccable, and the neck has a great color to it.  The finish is beautiful up the neck, and on the headstock.  The headplate is absolutely stunning, and one of my favorite parts of the guitar.  The top is just perfect, and the aging toner is very yellow and creamy.  The sides have perfectly straight and tight grain, just like the back.  There are a lot more pores in this wood that are visible when compared to the Marquis.  The plain ebony fingerboard is elegant, and the whole guitar has a vintage, yet very contemporary look to it.

Dislike about the Martin OMC-28M Laurence Juber:  Nothing at all.  It's the only guitar I own now.  I sold all of my others off because I seriously only need this one.  It might sound cliche, but this is truly the best guitar I've ever heard, and I doubt I will need any other, besides a OMC-18VLJ!

Review:  OMC-28 M Juber
Rating you give the Martin OMC28M Juber:  5 - Best thing I ever played

Like about the Martin OMC-28M Laurence Juber:  I received my Juber about six weeks ago and have played it steadily since. The guitar has gorgeous tone and range. The trebles are bright and crystal clear and the bass is solid. The guitar is an excellent performer and a pleasure to play and hear. The fit and finish are tops.  The neck is glassy smooth fits perfectly in my left hand. The simple appointments are elegant. This is a wonderful guitar.
