I had been looking for a new D-18 and recently called Maury's and spoke to Angelo, who agreed to test play the 2 plain-top D-18s Maury had listed on the site. He offered his opinion as to which one sounded 'better' and gave me the price, which was 40% off of list - free shipping to my door. This was on a Friday afternoon, so the guitar didn't ship until Monday afternoon and arrived at my home on Wednesday evening.
Right out of the case, the guitar was in tune, and it stayed that way for the next hour or so that i played it!
What a full, harmonically rich instrument this is. And there's no mistaking the Martin tone!
The action is just a little bit high for me, but I'm used to my Taylor. I did not request any sort of set-up or other options through Maury, as I wanted to experience the guitar myself before I made any decisions about set up.
And when Maury says he goes over the guitar before shipping, I believe it - it looks flawless and, as stated, was in tune with no buzzing or loss of intonation all over the neck.

Been a couple of weeks since I wrote this. I went to submit it to this forum, but the security code wouldn't take for some reason and today I was able to load this review. I'm kind of glad I had to wait, as now I've spent some time with the guitar. After doing some research on the Web, I decided it was in my comfort zone to attempt to take a little off the bottom of the bridge, thereby lowering the action. It came out beautifully and I continue to be impressed with the tone and playability of this instrument. It seems to ring like a frickin' piano when strummed, yet still shows off the subtleties of fingerpicked songs.
Thanks again to Maury's for the great service on this beautiful Martin! I'd do it again!
