Blueridge BR-162
Maury's Music has discontinued the Blueridge line.
BR-162
I liked my BR-140A so much, I had to try another Blueridge. I had always read good things about 12-fret guitars. I also wanted to try something other than a dread. This 000 has a rich bass and full mid-range while still bringing out clear highs.
It looks to be well built. Rich, dark rosewood on this one. Peghead rosewood overlay not as dark/ same. The inlay on the back is beautiful against the almost black rosewood. And the herringbone top binding looks good.
In the short time I have been playing it, I find it really enjoyable to play

BR162 revisited
I just had to come back and write more! This guitar is AMAZING! I stopped playing my other guitars when I got this one (for a few months anyway). I have since added elephant ivory bridgepins and end pin/strap button. It has REALLY opened up with all the playing and I just can't put it down once I start playing it. I am even looking to buy a Martin 00015SM after having this one. Definitely worth a look see! One sweet guitar!

Amazing Guitar
I did a lot of research on Blueridge guitars before I purchased the BR-162. I was trying to decide on which model to get. Either the BR-160, BR-140, or the BR-162. What finally pushed me to this one was the video Maury's has on the page for this guitar. It sounded amazing and had the sound I wanted. I looked it over when it arrived and it was perfect. I checked the neck relief and it was perfect. The nut height was perfect. The saddle was high. But as I was tuning it up the G string broke and I did not have another. I had to wait to get another set. Took the shim out from under the saddle and the action is better. Sound is amazing. Plays easy.
