The most famous acoustic guitar of all time, the D-28 is now available from Martin’s Standard Series with a satin finish! The D-28 Satin has full, rich rosewood tone thanks to the traditional dovetail neck joint and forward-shifted braces that enhance its strong bass response. Available with the classic aging toner on the spruce top or a new amberburst, other Standard Series features include an ebony bridge and fingerboard, Modified Low Oval neck profile, open-gear tuning machines, and Antique White bindings. There is no more iconic acoustic guitar than the magnificent, versatile Martin D-28 and no D-28 found for a better price than the D-28 Satin.
Martin Dreadnoughts, like the D-28, are known for their loud, projective tone and strong bass. This model is built to the same specifications as the standard D-28, but now Martin offers this longtime staple with a satin-finish top, back, and sides. The top includes an aging toner, and it is also available with an amberburst. The D-28 Satin is crafted with East Indian rosewood back and sides, which are very resonant and offer deep bass and rich overtones. It is well-balanced for all playing styles.
