Martin OM-28 Authentic 1931 with VTS Left Handed
The Martin OM-28 Authentic 1931 is the OM by which all others are judged. Evever since the Authentic series was first announched this has been one of the most requested models, and for very good reason. In Maury's own words "When are they gonna do an OM-28??" I've been playing my Martin OM-28V almost exclusively since 1998, and I was very excited to see this come to fruition. I visit the Martin factory a couple times a week picking up inventiory, visiting the custom shop and just generally keeping up on new developtments. When Tim Teel gave me the heads-up on this, he knew it was "the one" I wanted to see and he was right. On January 22, I was lucky enough to join my friend Spoon Phillips of OneManz.com at the Martin factory. We took turns evaluating all the new NAMM models and passed them back & forth for our respective photo and video shoots (check out Spoon's in-depth reviews here!). The OM-28 Authentic is hands-down, the most responsive, most 'alive' current production OM-28 I've ever played."
Made with a solid Adirondack VTS top, Madagascar Rosewood back and sides, hide glue constructoin and an authentic 1931 bracing pattern, the Martin OM-28 Authentic 1931 is as clear and responsive as any OM could hope to be. With a balanced tone across the fretboard, it's a guitar that will take anything you can throw at it, whether that's country flatpicking, classical fingerstyle or any genre in between. Combine all this with it's period correct 1931 adornments and you have nothing short of a masterpiece. If you've ever played a Martin OM you liked then this is the one you're going to love.
