Reverend Shade Balderose Signature - Midnight Blue
The Reverend Shade Balderose Signature is a sleek machine armed with Railhammer pickups and meant for the terrifyingly brutal, complex tones of Shade's band, Code Orange. The aerodynamically evil slim body leads into a solid set neck with plenty of upper register access, ending with a reverse headstock. Loaded with Railhammers coupled with an agile ebony fretboard so you can clearly hear every single frightening hardcore note. The Reverend Shade Balderose is also available in Army Green.
All of our Reverend Shade Balderose Signature guitars are brand new, factory-fresh, in unplayed condition, and come with Reverend's 1 year warranty. Reverend's unique serial # and the initials of their resident guitar tech who set up and inspected the guitar are found on the back of each headstock. (Hardshell case available separately.)

CHISEL BRIDGE PICKUP
Aggressive and thick, but with superb clarity, the Chisel sets a new standard for heavy rock and metal. Unlike the competition, you can dial in a tight clear tone on the wound strings without the plain strings sounding thin or sterile. And the Chisel has loads of character... rich in harmonics, touch sensitive, and armed with an upper-mid attack that cuts like a knife. If you want your riffs to be heard loud and clear, this is your tool. And like all Railhammers, the extra clarity on the wound strings means they also work great with low tuned guitars.
HYPER VINTAGE NECK PICKUP
Finally, a neck humbucker that doesn't turn to mush when you dig in hard, even with chords. We took the vintage PAF recipe and dragged it kicking and screaming into the new millennium. Warm, open, lightly compressed, with chimey highs. Has a softer mid attack, and an overall more open tone than the Chisel. Perfet for blues, classic rock, old school metal and punk, that "brown" sound, or for any player looking for a vintage vibe but wants the Railhammer advantage. And like all Railhammers, the extra clarity on the wound strings means they also work great with low tuned guitars.
Korina (aka White Limba) is a medium-light weight wood, highly prized for consistency and tonal qualities. Often found in boutique and vintage instruments, all Reverends feature Korina bodies. A highly resonant wood, Korina is a key factor in producing Reverend's lively, responsive instruments that are rich in harmonics.
This passive bass roll-off is great for tightening up the low end, or re-voicing the pickups. It can make a humbucker sound like a single-coil, or give a P-90 that classic twang. Variable pickup voicing at your fingertips!
A thumbwheel under the tuner pushes a steel pin up through the post, locking the string in place for exceptional tuning stability and super-fast string changes.
Every Reverend is hand initialed on the back of the headstock by Zack Green, Reverend's highly skilled technician who sets up, inspects and tests every instrument.
CUSTOM DOME KNOBS
Reverend's proprietary knobs feature a lower profile which is less likely to be accidentally hit by the player's hand and the white dot lets you easily see where your knob rotation is set.
Reverend uses "Boneite," a synthetic bone nut, that is more consistent than natural bone, on all of their instruments. It reduces friction, allowing the strings to slide through the nut slots smoothly, improving tuning stability.
DUAL-ACTION TRUSS ROD
Reverend's dual action rod adjusts in both directions, allowing back bow or forward bow. This assures correct adjustment range is possible regardless of string tension, extreme climate conditions, or the effects of long term aging. It's also located at the headstock for easy access.
CUSTOM JACK PLATE
Reverend's proprietary jack plate features four mounting screws instead of two. The extra screws prevent the plate from tearing out of the body. Made of steel for durability, the laser etched logo adds an extra touch of class!
PURE TONE JACK
All Reverends use an upgraded jack by Pure Tone Technologies. A standard jack has single contacts, but the Pure Tone jack has dual contacts for improved grip, audio signal and reliability. The most dependable guitar jack available.
TREBLE BLEED CIRCUIT
All Reverend guitars have a treble bleed circuit, preserving the treble when you roll back the volume control. When you roll back a standard volume control, the tone loses treble and becomes dull sounding. Now you can turn down and still sound great.
Reverend uses Alpha control pots with a +-10% rating. While a typical pot is +-20%, Reverend's pots are built to tighter specifications, making them more consistent. Typically used in expensive boutique guitars, but standard issue in all Reverends.
10% POLY CAPS
Reverend uses caps with a +-10% rating, while a typical cap is +-20%. Reverend's caps are made to tighter specifications, so they're more consistent. Made of polyester, they're also longer lasting and less affected by temperature than cheaper ceramic caps. Typically used in expensive boutique guitars.
