Martin Special Edition instruments have one-of-a-kind designs chosen by C. F. Martin IV himself, and in some cases designed by him. While certain guitars in the Special Edition Series have a pre-set limit to how many will be made, others will remain available for sale until Chris Martin decides to retire them.
