I purchased a Blueridge BR-40T tenor from Maury in October 2010. I have a 1963 Martin 0-18T that I am reluctant to travel with in case of a mishap. I bot the BR to use a s a travel instrument. I have now had enough time to caompare and I can report that although the Blueridge is heavier, it compares very favorably with the Martin for ease of chord change and playability. The most outstanding feature is the sound. The tone is bright and punchy like the Martin and it projects nearly as well. I rate this as a real top shelf tenor at a very affordable price.
