Spoon Phillips dropped by

Spoon Phillips of OneManz.com dropped by the shop to record another round of Martin Guitar demo videos.  After a long shoot, we took a break and played some other Martin guitars.  :)   This Martin D-45 was hard to put down.

Martin OM-28V Cocobolo Customs

One of my favorite parts of working for Maury’s Music is the opportunity to collaborate with Maury on exclusive Custom Shop guitar runs. Martin’s Custom Shop gives us a chance to really explore the possibilities of Martin instruments, taking the daydream guitars that we all think about and refining the ideas into something that we feel our customers will truly love.

Ron & Maury play a little Lennon & McCartney.  No Blueridge BR-140A's were harmed during the making of this film.

Martin HD-28V vs the D-28 Authentic 1941

Over the years Martin has changed the exact position of the "X " bracing numerous times, but on modern Martins the standard positioning of the center of this X is about 1.5” from the soundhole. If the center of the X gets closer to the soundhole this is known as forward shifting. If the center is farther away it’s known as rear-shifting.
